BACKGROUND

The assignment for our design cohort at Columbia Engineering was to develop a travel application that would tackle the challenges facing the travel industry in a post-pandemic world. Our focus was on enhancing features and introducing initiatives for individuals with limited resources, such as time and money. This case study examines the various ways in which we addressed these constraints.

THE PROBLEM

The pandemic directly impacted the global travel industry and changed how people approach their travel needs and desires. To many, booking a trip can be complex and time-consuming. Users become easily discouraged when planning involves many different platforms.

THE SOLUTION

To underscore the case study aspect, I decided to concentrate exclusively on travel to National Parks. The goal was to create a comprehensive itinerary planning tool tailored to the needs of National Park visitors with restricted time and financial resources. The app was intended to resolve the issue of having to utilize multiple applications to accomplish a single travel objective.
